Summer Days are Reading Days.

Remember the carefree
 days of summer?

Long days of swimming, a trip to the library, and then under the shade to read.

And escape into a story.
I spent days discovering distant planets, solving mysteries, visiting foreign shores.

I met wonderful heroes, strong and brave. Of course, there were also the nefarious bad                                                  guys who deserved to pay.

So take a spin at the library or Amazon online and choose some stories. Pick different genres and explore.

Enjoy this story of overcoming fear with hope, faith, love, and a little humor.

Jenna Lairdon, a widow with two, young children and a snippy mother-in-law, steps out of the fog of depression and realizes she needs a loan to save the family sheep ranch. She has an appointment with the banker, an old flame who is still interested in her. Before she can get to the bank, skydiver, Clay Carter, drops out of the sky and into her life.
The stranger ignites places in her heart she thought she’d buried with her husband. Torn between the security the banker offers and the fire in her heart for Clay, Jenna tries to seek God, but her faith is as depleted as her bank account.
Thrill-seeking Clay drifts into the family he’s always wanted. He tries to help at the ranch but only makes a mess of things. Worse, his father expects him back at the law firm in New York City. If he chooses Jenna, he loses everything.
Will Clay turn his back on his father’s wealth for the woman and family he’s come to love? Or will he continue a life hidden behind the hardened walls of his heart?

A Book You Might Like

A Mile Apart   by  Sarah Jae Foster

Only one thing stands between her and the man she loves…gold
Eden Montgomery arrived in the lawless territory of Whistle Creek as a newlywed, but she quickly lost her husband to his mistress…gold, and the claim he called The Golden Angel. When a premature blast at the cave killed her husband, and took the life of her unborn baby, Eden closed the mine…for good. Now she runs the local supply store, and in her bitterness, looks down on the men who shirk familial responsibilities in pursuit of something as meaningless as gold.
Joseph Benton knows the crime, filth and disease of a mining camp is no place for a child. So when his young son Christopher suddenly arrives at his tent, he turns to Eden Montgomery to care for the boy. But the uppity and righteous Eden refuses. Joseph is shocked at what he thinks is her lack of maternal instinct. Now he’s torn between his need to strike gold…and his desire to be a father.

When a ruthless speculator encroaches on the camp, threatening Joseph and the other miners, Eden knows she must do the one thing she vowed never to do…for the one man she vowed never to love.
