I've Got a Story to Tell

I've Got a Story to Tell  .... or Two
I love stories. They capture the imagination and transport the reader to different countries, times, and even worlds. You can learn, be encouraged, and strengthened in hard times. Walk in another's shoes and begin understand those from different times, circumstances, and cultures.

In short, you can see the world and beyond through stories.

Why do I write?  To make others happy.  After I'd finished my first book I gave it to my friend to read. We were both a little nervous, what if she didn't like it? But when she finished, she told me it made her happy.

That was all I needed. That was worth the Pulitzer Prize, Best Selling List of all.  It is my goal.

This year I watched the movie ~ The Greatest Showman  ~ I loved it.  I realize they took liberties with P. T. Barnum's life, but I believe the man enjoyed making people happy.

In fact, one of the quotes attributed to him makes my heart sing ~
The noblest art is that of making others happy. --  P. T. Barnum

I've written 34 stories so far and have many more clamoring for their time in a book.
What are some stories that have carried you through a hard time or made you happy?

Texas will Never be the Same!

Book 3 of the Mail Order Brides of Misfit Ranch  Bluebonnet Texas

Welcome back to Bluebonnet, Texas.

Nettie has a queasy stomach and secrets. Yes, she's been at it again ~her letter writing campaign to match misfits with a suitable mate.

This time, it's Yancy. The poor man needs something or someone. He'd lost his spark for life and still limped on the leg he'd broken months ago.

After she mailed the letter for a mail-order bride, doubts assault her. She'd not told Yancy or her husband about her plan.

Eugene Douglas was at the end of his solutions. Fancy had been at it again. His boss was furious. He had to do something. An ad in the paper looking for a mail order bride offered an answer. If he could get Fancy married, a good strong man might be able to control her. The letter from Texas sounded promising. Eugene sent an answer and readied to move. He'd tell Fancy his plans once he got her to Texas.

Surprises abound in this sweet, Christian book.

As with all my books, Yancy's Bride is free on Kindle Unlimited
